The 115,000 sq. ft. Neuroscience Research facility is located at the northwest corner of the Medical School campus. The facility is a premier research facility in the world for spinal cord injury, the basic design was directed by its functionality. The building demanded a significant aesthetic response. The entrance of the center faces and embraces the Research Quadrangle and the University campus. The focal point of the L-shaped exterior is its glass enclosed curvilinear structure at the junction of the two laboratory wings.
Three floors of research laboratories in an “open plan” concept, creates modules, with complete flexibility in rearrangement by scientists.
